Privacy policy

The free MidiTake converter is designed to process your recording in your browser. This page explains what stays on your device and what limited usage information may be measured.

YOUR FILE

The free conversion runs in your browser.

When you use the current free MP3 to MIDI converter, your selected file is decoded and analyzed by your browser on your device. MidiTake does not upload the audio to an online conversion service, and the audio is not sent to a MidiTake server for processing.

The converter keeps the selected file in browser memory while it works. The MIDI result is created in that browser session and downloaded by your browser when you choose to save it.

What this does not mean: MIDI transcription is an estimate. The result can contain missing or extra notes, so check it in your music software before relying on it.

AGGREGATE MEASUREMENT

What analytics measures

When Google Analytics 4 is enabled, this site uses it for aggregate product measurement. It also records page views and technical information such as approximate location, browser and device type. Google Analytics may set first-party cookies after measurement is allowed. Google says it uses an IP address at collection time to derive location but does not log or store that address. Read Google's data safeguards.

Our added tool events use fixed categories so we can understand whether the converter starts, completes, fails, and produces a downloadable result.

  • conversion_started — audio or video input kind
  • conversion_completed — note-count and processing-time bands
  • conversion_failed — a fixed failure category
  • conversion_canceled, midi_downloaded, sample_used
  • hq_interest — piano or full-song offer click
  • audio_render_started, audio_render_completed, audio_render_failed, audio_render_canceled, audio_downloaded — MIDI-to-audio tool actions, with no added parameters

These events are not designed to include your filename, audio, note contents, or raw error text. An internal operator's own visits will be excluded from product reporting when that measurement setup is configured.

YOUR CHOICE

For visitors whose browser timezone indicates the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the site will ask for consent before loading analytics or writing analytics cookies. If the timezone cannot be classified, the site will show the consent choice as well.

For visitors outside those areas, analytics may load by default when GA4 is enabled. A browser timezone is only a practical signal and is not a precise location check. When analytics is enabled, use Analytics settings in the footer to change your choice.

Audio stays local: Analytics does not need or receive your recording. Audio processing remains on your device in the free converter.
